This year was the first year for the Classics at the Capital car show. It was a 3 day event, but Saturday was the big day. There were over 100 classic cars lined down Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. The crowd was unbelievable. It was great to see so many people downtown taking interest in all of the classic and custom cars that were there.
There were vendors and more cars inside the convention center. It was great to see Classic and Specialty insurance as well as the guys from Eastern Rod and Custom and if you did not see Dan Matthews with his customized Airstream trailer, you missed out. It is amazing.
The car that everyone seemed and still seems to be talking about was a custom 1961 Bubbletop Impala with a 502 engine. It was a work of art. Hopefully the show did well enough that it will return for a second year.
